Why it is never too late

Colonel Sanders started his fried chicken business around the age of 60 — a business that went on to become the world-famous KFC.
Vera Wang became a fashion designer at the age of 40.
Ray Kroc did not even start McDonald’s until he was 52.
Samuel L Jackson did not get his big break until he was 43.
Julia Child published her first cookbook around the time she was 50.

History is littered with examples like this.
Of people who did incredible, amazing, extraordinary things — at a later age.

There is a common belief about how it’s important to start early if you want to be successful.
And yes it is better to start early.
But that does not mean you give up if you are late to the show.
And it most certainly does not mean success is only the domain of the young.

When you give up on account of being late, you eliminate any chance of success.
When you give up, you defeat yourself.

Here’s the alternative path, the path which has the potential to help you get what you want and fulfill your dreams.
Want to know what it is?
It’s simple…
Just start.

Start no matter how late to the show you think you are.
Because only by starting will you have any shot at achieving your dreams.

Also, at the end of the day, early or late is a matter of perspective.
What’s early for some is late for others, and vice versa.
That’s why “age is just a number” for many.

Remember:
You are never too old.
And it’s never too late.

Do what you want to do.
No matter how late you think you are.
Don’t let your age stop you from pursuing your dreams.

Like the famous Chinese proverb says: The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

Don’t worry about being too old.
Don’t worry about what you could’ve done.
Don’t worry about missed opportunities.

Do the best you can do now.
Because that is all any of us can do.
