The problem with fast events

The news is changing everyday with reporters trying to report on the hottest take. However this very problematic. Since news reporters are more focused on trying to grab attention of readers, news are more likely to be basic but with the most eye catching titles. This causes actual important news to be overlooked. Furthermore, as a society, we move on quite fast to the next big thing.

Important news are seen as insignificant the very next day. Thus, those actually suffering become irrelevant to the media within minutes. Many events and tragedies that should be the focus of the media gets ignored and this causes those part of it to feel all alone and unimportant.

Many people would rather be entertained instead of actually helping others.

We as a society should not support the quickness of everything from media to fashion.

The process behind creating outfits mainly causes a large wastage of water as well as large amounts of global carbon emissions lastly polluting rivers.

The plastic fibres in clothes are also taking part in causing major pollution with the fashion industry being responsible for 10 % of air pollution and second main reason to water pollution.

The continual drive of 'fast fashion' adds to the waste problem, amounting to a staggering 10,000 items of clothing being sent to landfill every five minutes, equivalent to £140 million in value every year3. [google statistics]

So not only does creating clothes cause major pollution but also throwing them away causes pollution.

Thats a lot of money that could easily help others wasted in clothes that are used for trend.
