How To Achieve World Peace

No individual is capable of creating world peace. Sure, it’s about all individuals coming together and making a change in the world — but that narrative is both old and impractical.

The world is really YOUR world. A more achievable goal is your world peace, not the Earth’s.

Most activists who set out to achieve a better, more peaceful world, are actually in war with themselves, their family members, loved ones, and people they come in contact with.

There is absolutely no difference, in principal, between a war of nations and a war of two individuals. Nations just have bigger weapons. Nations have their bombs, you have your f-bombs.

Your world starts with just you. Are you constantly arguing in your head about what’s right and wrong? Be at ease with yourself and you can move on.

Your next world is your family and close friends, people you are in constant contact with, and share some sort of deep bond. Same question: are you constantly at war?

As peace comes to you and your immediate world you can move on, stretching to peace with strangers, community members, and so on — yet at any given time your individual peace can be relinquished. I say relinquished because it is a completely voluntary thing, to give away your peace.

No one can take it from you unless you give it away. This is so powerful. People cannot make you angry, it is absolutely your choice.

So what then about world peace? World peace is a side effect of all individuals being at peace with themselves. A side effect cannot be a goal, so the question can be put aside to make way for the real work individuals need, the work for inner world peace.
