This is the new title

Today makes it the second day of the second week of Andela Bootcamp cycle 39 and it has actually been a very challenging journey so far. I had to adapt to the challenges I faced. I am really happy to have made it to the second week.

There are a lot of skills I wasn’t used to or didn’t before that I had a learn to have made it this far. Teamwork, using certain tools and more. There was so much to learn in just a short time and that meant working for many hours every day, staying focused, just to make sure I learn to use these tools, learn these skills in order to meet certain criteria to get this far and also making it into fellowship!

Due to the relatively short time and certain challenges like not having stable electricity and a good working computer to work with at home, it has been even more challenging for me. I have to come to the ET every day even on the days we weren’t required to come so that I could get a laptop to use from Andela.

Although, I have coding experience, some of the tools used in Andela that I had to learn were very new to me like travis CI, pivotal tracker to manage your software projects, nodejs/express, unit testing, postgresql, git, etc. I had to learn to use them all by myself well and use them in my project!

Despite the short time I had to learn these tools, I have been able to learn these tools within the short time we’ve had and also become comfortable with using them.

All these challenges have made become a better a software developer. Better at managing projects, working in a team, writing tests for my projects, etc.
