The Ultimate Dad

He’s A Dad Like No Other

Isaiah 46:5 To whom will ye liken Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be like?

God asks an important rhetorical question, with whom can He be compared? We find the answer verse nine: Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me.

Why is this important? Comparisons can create misconceptions, especially when you consider He is everlasting to everlasting, and perfect in every way. Everyone and everything else were created by Him. Should you compare Him to people, you may actually lower your view of God.

This can interfere with you knowing your identity. God is the Ultimate Dad with Whom there is no equal, and yet we know many have a skewed perception about Him. Why? As many know, people to compare our Heavenly Father with their earthly fathers. They are not the same!

No matter how wonderful one’s Dad may be, he will never be on God’s level -ever. Obviously, some have had terrible abusive fathers, or in some cases, fathers who were completely missing. Consequently, some eye God with suspicion, either viewing Him as abusive, or totally unreliable. In short, they don’t trust Him. Those who experienced a wonderful father, have far less trouble with trust.

By the way, comparing life circumstances is not a going to necessarily help either. We cannot equate world affairs with His character.

The Cross Reveals Ultimate Love

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

How far would any of us to extend our love to others? “I’d lay my life down!” It’s a good answer, even Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). How many of us would lay his or her child’s life down for another? What if they were what many would consider bad people?

The Cross reveals His love for you, not your circumstances. How many put themselves in bad places by making bad decisions and choices? Of course, it’ always easier to blame others, or even God, than to take personal responsibility. Even if you were to put yourself in a hole, He’d be there with you. Moreover, He has what you would need to get out of that hole. Just ask Him. How many abandon those who put themselves in bad places? God never deserts His children.

Those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will experience eternal life void of suffering. Even now, they’re able to experience joy and peace in the midst of storms.

If you love God, you have another proof that He loves you.

1 John 4:19 We love Him, because He first loved us.

You could not love Him, unless He loved you first.

Rest in the Arms of the Ultimate Dad

Let’s get a little blunt: sure, some of you did have mean, abusive fathers. Your life before Jesus was a living hell. Even now, a number of you still feel the pain. Before going any further, be assured no one is minimizing your experiences and heartbreaks. Quite the opposite. But now it’s time for healing.

Time to change perspective. It’s time to forgive those who hurt you, which includes abusive fathers. Stop dwelling on how bad you had it, because it will keep you in pain and anger. Celebrate the fact you have a new Father -the Ultimate Dad!

Romans 8:15–18 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Fear and torment can plague those who either don’t receive or believe ABBA’s (Daddy’s) love. Perfect love casts out fear (see 1 John 4:18). Let’s be honest, if you don’t believe God loves you, you will be hard pressed to trust Him. There would be that nagging doubt underneath about Him truly having your best interest at heart.

Some really questioned whether God would supply their basic needs, because their earthly fathers did not. They had to learn by experience He does that and so much more. If you are going through hardship, look up. God will reveal Himself as faithful.

How many put God on trial? They’re constantly testing Him to see if He loves them. This is an intimacy stopper. If they’re honest, they would have to admit that in their kangaroo court, they have already found Him guilty before the trial began. They do it to everyone. Time to stop!

If you choose to reject love, it’s easy to find rejection from others. Everything they do or fail to do, filters through the lens of rejection. Your choice!

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Come to Him as a little child, with open arms. Run to Him, and jump into His. Allow ABBA (Daddy) to wrap His arms around you. Experience His love and be healed.

Remember this: as long as you’re on this planet, circumstances will constantly change; however, His love never changes, nor does it fail.

Romans 8:31–38 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

To God: HAPPY DAD’S DAY!
