When I Start Believing in Manifestation

I believe in working hard. Work hard, play hard is an idiom that I like. As I believe in the importance of life balance, seeking harmony during working hours is my favourite activity. But, when I…

The Secret Playbook Wall Street Neglects to Tell You

Every year there is a tax deadline at the end of April…unless you file an extension. With that comes two different feelings: relief or stress.

Relief comes if you input everything correctly and you end the season with the government owing you money. Woohoo!

Or…

Stress and anger come because you owe the government even more money, and now you have to come up with it in the next few weeks.

I think we all can agree that we prefer scenario #1 to #2. But if you are in scenario #1, what should you do with the extra money? Did you know that there is a strategy to grow your retirement money in a non-traditional way?

This strategy is what allows you to amass millions into a Roth IRA even though you are only allowed to invest $6,000 a year into it (the math doesn’t add up, I know).

If this is something you are curious about, I would recommend reading this book by Matt Sorensen. He is the leading expert when it comes to Self Directed IRAs, and there are a lot of different rules you have to learn and follow.

However, that should not deter you away from getting one. This book breaks down all the details and rules on what it takes to operate an IRA/LLC (that’s right, its basically a business with its own checking account).

If you are a nerd like me and enjoy reading things like that it is worth it. Don’t worry, it’s not dry or boring like a textbook. There are also a lot of studies from court cases in it, which makes it interesting since that is how we get most of the strange laws we see in the U.S.

Until then, here are some basic questions I can answer for you when it comes to the Self-Directed IRA. I mainly wanted to share this possibility since it is not talked about in the financial communities much at all.

A self-directed Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a type of retirement savings account that allows investors to have greater control over their investment choices. Unlike traditional IRAs, where investment options are typically limited to stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, self-directed IRAs enable investors to diversify their portfolios by investing in a broader range of assets.

Some of the alternative investment options available in self-directed IRAs include:
