The Answer To Overwhelm

Have you ever had the sense that you were balancing everything in life, terrified of the end result? It’s almost torturous with all the things you are responsible of, and yet you “happily” took it on hoping it would benefit you in some way.

Sometimes we can look at past overwhelm and say, “It was nothin’! I did it elegantly!” (like the goddess above ^^^).

But while you are in the moment, you know, the throws of overwhelm…the blood is pumping, the thoughts are blurred, the stomach is tense. The mind is racing around all you need to do. Yet, you KNOW that if all the things aren’t done perfectly AND simultaneously, you’ll fall and most likely get stabbed in the crotch.

This is overwhelm at its finest.

So…

How do we handle it in the moment?

Like this. Here’s what I do to stop overwhelm in it’s tracks:

Overlap both hands (or in prayer position like the goddess ^^^) directly over the heart and breathe deeply.

**Remember, the heart sits slightly to the left in your chest cavity.**

In this method, the right side (masculine/productivity) and the left side (feminine/creativity) are combined over the heart, creating a silence of the brain. Basically, in doing this, it makes an override of the consistent mind chatter for the heart to be heard.

It is a method to be used when trying to understand what to do next or even if you just want to calm down.

Let’s stop being so worried about being stabbed in the crotch! Try it out! I’d love to know what you think!

Thank you so much for inviting me to share with you. Feel free to share this with anyone that could benefit from it.
